Wheels-For-Work
The Wheels for Work program saves jobs for
working people in need of reliable transportation, putting them on the
road for success. The Wheels program provides low-cost but quality
vehicles to low income families whose head of the household is working
more than 30 hours per week. Over the past decade, this program has
saved jobs in 500 families, ensuring that transportation is not a
stumbling block in their effort to live self-sufficiently.
NEW to the program, the Watertown Urban Mission
is offering low cost vehicle maintenance and repairs for income eligible
clients so that small problems don’t turn into big ones because a family
could not afford to maintain their vehicle. In our rural county,
individual transportation is often a necessity to ensure people can work
and continue to provide for themselves.
